VMC Barbarian treble hooks?

Despite the great reviews on Cabela's website, I wanted to know if anyone has improved their catch rate by switching to these hooks? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templa... Any suggestions for another brand of replacement trebles?

VMC Barbarian treble hooks?
I have replaced a few hooks on my Zara Spooks with these with good results:

If you plan on replacing hooks on topwater baits take care not to get too large a rear hook as it kills the "walk the dog" action of those type lures. I bought some poppers with the hooks in the link you gave and they were super sharp from the factory. I can't say the bend helps or hurt at all.

More often I just buy Gamakatsu EWG

trebles. These are the ones I like best:

It's not a bad idea to replace your split rings with heavy duty ones while your at it.
Reply:They are pretty good hooks, as you would expect from VMC hooks, Ive tried them a few months ago and found they are OK, because of the hook bend they do hook up better, i did find them to go a little blunt and had to touch them up after a time with the diamond sharpening stone, that's just because they are needle point hooks, Ive used rapala replacement hooks designed for their crank-baits, these are tough, give them both a go and see which works best for you, you can never have too many fishing hooks/trebles.
