Double ended crochet hooks - How do I use?

My grandmother gave me a slew of crochet supplies when she died. I know how to use the regular crochet hooks, but how do you use the double ended ones?

Also, what about the ones with the strip of plastic attached in between? (They can wrap around for storage.) I don't REMEMBER seeing her use them.

Cro-Hook, you use 2 different skeins of yarn and crochet. I love this hook it has 2 different looks on each side and you only use one hook at a time. the hardest part is getting the afghan started and then ending it. The blanket is double sided. I have made a baby afghan in yellow, blue, and green it is so pretty it takes a while to make and it also seems to take more yarn but the end result is very pretty. It's worth learning to use. I've seen the ones with the plastic connector but I don't know how to use them.
Reply:They're an Annie's Attic exclusive (the double ended ones). They ran a campaign on them several years ago. They called it crochet on the double. They still sell the patterns. Here's a link to the instructions. http://www.anniesattic.com/crochet/conte...

As for the ones with the plastic strip... I don't know. Do they have hooks? I know they make knitting needles like that.
Reply:They are called "cro-hooks" and used to do the afghan stitch
Reply:They are afghan hooks. Try this site and look under cro-hooks.

Hope this helps.
