Can you take crochet hooks on a plane?
I'm not sure if you can or not, I think it really depends on the security person. But! here are some tips.

1. Make sure that you have a project started. Some security people may want to make sure that you are indeed using it to crochet.

2. Make sure it's a plastic hook.

3. Bring a postage paid envelope with you if they aren't allowed, and mail it to yourself, either at home, or to wherever you are travelling to.
Reply:Hiya as far as I am aware you CAN NOT this is because they could be classed as a dangersrous weapon. Its daft I know but hey! I guess its all for our own protection these days. The only way i think would be inside your suitcase but then that defeats your objective to keep your mind occupied whilst on a flight.

Its worth contacting the company you are to fly with though as each airline company has differnt regulations ad aloow lists.
Reply:no just buy some when you get there instead
Reply:yes of course u can along with hand grenades
Reply:I am not sure about this . Phone the Airline and ask and then you will know exactly. I know they do not allow a nail-file. It is a potential weapon. The world has gone mad.
Reply:according to the the website i posted below you can. The site has everything you can and can not bring on a plane.
Reply:Yes, you may take crochet hooks %26amp; knitting needles on planes.
Reply:Sure!
Reply:I think no, because you can use them as a weapon.
