Why Does The End Of My Hair Look Like Fishing Hooks?

the very tip of my hair (some not all) looks curls up and looks like fishing hooks! or the letter J and its freaky! and it freaks me out knowing that my hair is like that. what causes it, what can i do to prevent it, do i need to cut my hair. my hair is long down to my shoulders and i havent cut it in 2 years.

Seriously-Sorry I couldn't resist I would try cutting an inch or so and see if that helps-Not sure maybe you should try asking a beautician? Good Luck!
Reply:the ends are thining ou and that makes it curl you need to cut it even a half an inch would help and make sure you are using conditior good luck
Reply:it's probably because you haven't cut it. i'm not an expert--but i think you should definitely get it cut. ask your stylist about it.
Reply:I have the same problem with my hair. what i was told to straighten your hair is everyday after you shower, brush your hair straight back while blow drying. this works if it curls in the front any direction (which mine does)


For the ends of your hair on the sides and back you can use hairspray if you want(I personally, don't) or maybe use one of those handheld electrical heating straighteners I've seen(i don't have one)


I have tried cut my hair but it just curled right back up within a day(unless you cut it so short it can't possibly do so)
