Jabs/Hooks/Uppercuts Practice - Punching Bob a good choice?

For an amateur that just wishes to practice on jabs/hooks/uppercuts, would the Punching Bob be a good target to practice on? Or would the tear drop punching bag be a better choice?


The Punching Bob just caught my eye because of it%26#039;s human resemblence. :)

I have never used one but It looks good, and what i like is that it is freestanding so you can move it to different locations.





Also have you seen the slam man its shaped like a man and it has lights which indicate where to punch so you can run through basic combinatons and works on speed etc...
