Fishing Question. How do I tie hooks directly to line?

I went fishing last week at our local pier. I noticed the guy next to us had 5 hooks on his line. All 5 hooks were tied directly to his line with a weight at the bottom. What%26#039;s the name of that setup or how can I set my line like that. (I didn%26#039;t get a chance to ask him).

They were not the sabiki setup.

thanks in advance

Fishing Question. How do I tie hooks directly to line?
I use a fishing knot that comes from a paper out of a box of new line. Here is a site that shows how to tie many knots
Reply:Start tying way up the line, move down a bit, tie another, repeat. Hope that helps.
Reply:Don%26#039;t know what set-up the gentlemen had, but ya%26#039; can use what is called a %26quot;Dropper Loop%26quot;. Link below will show ya%26#039; how to tie and it be animated to make it easier. Site has a lot of other type knots for fishin%26#039; along with a slew of others that may come in handy for other needs. Not sure if this%26#039;ll help, but you%26#039;ll be gettin%26#039; other Answers ppl responses that%26#039;ll steer you in the direction ;)...

Reply:You can do a line to line or a swivel
Reply:you could try snelling the hooks on at different spots on your line like a huge crawler harness. GOOD LUCK and KEEP FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Reply:I used a hook system. EAch hook coms on it%26#039;s own lanyard, so each of them has a loop at the end. Place all the loops into the hook of the line and add the weight to it.

A quick google search tells me that this is called using a FISHING LEADER system.
