which do you find works better and stays up better? would you recommend the suction cups or the hooks/clips? (for putting holiday lights up in the window).

I%26#039;ve had problems with the suction cups letting loose especially when it gets cold outside and it is warm inside. I have found the 3M command hooks work pretty well but I put mine around the window not directly on the window.
