Do hooks pinching the skin mean the braces need repairing or is it normal?

I have just had my braces in for two days. My hooks were not pinching me, but now they are. Should I go the othondontist for reapir or is it normal? I just put wax. Thanks.

go to your dentist %26amp; get it blunt or rubbed off or you will get ulsures.
Reply:The wax never worked for me normally, but yes it is very normal. The wax works for some people but not others, it will go with time, it%26#039;s really normal though so don%26#039;t worry!

Reply:you should prob go to the orthodontist to have them checked up on but i think you will be OK, this happened to me when i first got my braces but everything was fine. Just expect some discomfort for the first couple or weeks.
Reply:Put on wax until your have scheduled an appointment with your orthodontist. Make sure you tell your orthodontist to fix your problem. You don%26#039;t want your hooks to tear your cheeks
Reply:Just keep using the wax, your mouth needs to adjust to all the new metal. Your mouth is adjusting, so what hurts one day, might not hurt the next. That is why they gave you the wax. You should always feel free to call the office and describe what is happening and they should tell you if you need to come in.
